I just wanted to clarify that we offer s Semantic Web service and API called Calais (as well as a browser plugin and extraction tools for WordPress and Yahoo! SearchMonkey).

The free and open Calais API and developer community can be found at OpenCalais.com

Thanks,

I really like your point of view and your comparisons in your blogs. you come swinging from a different angle. and that is what we need sometimes. I figured that html was the stepping stone and css was the second step. So they do go hand in hand. this clears it up a bit for me. But I really do appreciate w3schools website. It is a helpful website. Cleared a lot of misconceptions that I had about html. And I am hoping I will get the grasp of this language soon.

Yeah being organized with your aggregators is pretty important, seeing as how they are always changing and you are bringing in new content all the time. I use the same ones you use and for the same reasons as well. I have a school, home, and game tab on my netvibes site because those are the 3 main things that i concentrate on. I only use 1 column on a few tabs in mine beacuse i like to see the whole picture. Sometimes it can get too crowded.

For me I really liked the fact that I could get a quick view of my emails in netvibes. I have so many emails, one for school, one for friends, and one for work, and netvibes helped me get all those in one spot. I never thought of using it for social sites tho, like which sites do you use?

D'Wayne, this is one I had not read about before, so thanks for the interesting review. Ask our speaker about this tomorrow, as I think he is using a new device that may use this technology.

Netvibes is very useful, but I would still like to try new ones that are offered out there. Or about to be out soon. I'd like to see what Adobe comes out with next. However, Netvibes has helped get organized with all of my favorite sites I visit daily. Why go out and browse the web through page after page when you can log in to your Netvibes and find all that you need there. I would like to see how other people have there's set-up. I am sure there are some features I have to explore.

Here's a question or two for you.
I agree that Communities of Practice is like having a PLE and forming a community of it. However, do you think that CoP is another step of PLE or is it the next generation of PLE?
Second, and I would like to quote you on this, "If you have a skill, or an interest in a certain skill, you need to find a community of practice and participate in it openly," So, if you do have a certain skill, does the community of practice that you are involved in only applies to what skill you own, or can you apply the skill into something else?
